Competitive Depth Freediving | Molchanovs Wave 4 Depth Component

The Molchanovs Wave 4 Depth Component is the open water segment of the Wave 4 certification — the most advanced level in the Molchanovs freediving system. This course completes your full Wave 4 qualification by adding competitive-standard depth performance in three disciplines to your existing Lap 4 pool certification.

Wave 4 is designed for serious competitive freedivers pursuing national or international performance. Instruction is delivered by Molchanovs-certified instructors at Zen Freediving, with individual technique review and preparation for competition conditions.

Prerequisites

• Molchanovs Lap 4 (Wave 4 Pool Component) certification is required before enrolling. This is not an introductory course — students are expected to arrive with established depth technique and the ability to perform rescues.

Open Water Performance Requirements

• Constant Weight Bifins (CWTB): 50 metres
• Free Immersion (FIM): 50 metres
• Constant Weight No-Fins (CNF): 35 metres
• CWTB Buddy: Accompany a buddy to 30 metres
• Rescue from depth: 25 metres
• Surface tow: 50 metres
• Rescue breaths: Demonstrated to standard
