Is a monofin harder to use than bifins?

The dolphin kick technique is different from a flutter kick, so there is a learning curve. Most people find it intuitive after a few pool sessions. A monofin workshop or coaching session helps you develop efficient technique faster than learning on your own.

Do I need a monofin for freediving courses?

No. All our courses can be completed with bifins. Monofins are optional and typically used by divers who want to specialise in dynamic or depth disciplines after completing their initial certification.

What size monofin do I need?

Monofin foot pockets are sized by European shoe size. A snug fit is important — your feet should not slide inside the pocket. If you are between sizes, we recommend trying before buying. Visit us in Singapore or contact us for sizing advice.
