As Covid-19 spreads around the world and in our local communities, we should do everything we can to help stop the spread. This means staying at home as much as possible, and social distancing when you need to go out. Even though for most of us this means we can't train in the conventional way in the pool or ocean, we can look at this as an opportunity to let our bodies rest, and take the time to learn more about the other aspects of freediving that affect training and performance. Here are a few good resources that you can use to brush up on your knowledge of everything freediving.

Resource:
Molchanovs Freediving YouTube Channel

Good for:
Pretty much everything freediving related. Here, you'll find videos on dry apnea training, strength training, physiology, stretches, pranayama, equalisation, and so much more. One video a day will keep the (lack of) freediving blues away!

Resource:
Molchanovs Base Training

Good For:
Weekly dry apnea training. Molchanovs acknowledges the restrictions their freedivers around the world arefacing and have included some training that you can do without leaving your home. These workouts will be posted in the Zen Whatsapp chat group each week, or if you have a Molchanovs account, you can access base training there.

Resource:
The Freedive Cafe - The World's Freediving Podcast

Good For:
Get it all straight from the (sea)horse's mouth. Freedive Cafe host Donny interviews freedivers from everywhere about all sorts of topics. This is where it gets personal!

Resource:
7 minute workout app

Good For:
If you can't find time to work out even while working from home (excuses, excuses), this app will help with that. Here you'll find quick, short work outs that you can even do twice a day!

Resource:
Animal Flow

Good For:
If doing squats, pushups or planks is not your thing, animal flow offers body weight exercises that are fun and interesting. Keep your strength up while stuck at home and you'll be fit for training once we can resume!

Ten Thousand Kicks (by Christine)

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times. – Bruce Lee   I have to admit, I never enjoyed DNF. I like practising statics, f...
