Freediving Trip to Camotes, Philippines, 6 - 10 Jun 2024

$514

Explore the scenic Camotes Islands the freediving way!

The Location

The Camotes Islands are a group of four islands located about 60km east of Cebu in the Visayas Region of the Philippines. We will dive from the north of the western island called Pacijan Island. Panoramic, tropical landscapes and a calm, deep sea are among the characteristics of Camotes. With a population estimated at roughly a hundred thousand, the islands are remote and idyllic, ideal to focus on your freediving training and calm your mind in a peaceful and natural environment. There are nearby caves, hills and lakes to explore.

The Diving

Our dive site is a quick boat ride away from the Camotes Freediving centre.  With its flat sea, no drift, average visibility of 25m, up to 150m depth and nearby coral reefs, this is a dream freediving location! There is also a 25m pool on site for any pool work.

Spots are limited to maintain a small group setting, ensuring quality dives for everyone.

Course or Training options

Molchanovs Lap to Wave (1-3) upgrades are available during this trip (you must have taken the Lap 1, 2 or 3 course before for each respective upgrade). You can also choose to do training sessions instead of a course upgrade.

If you have never taken a freediving course before, you can take the Molchanovs Lap 1 course with us in Singapore and finish the depth requirements during this trip.

Getting to Camotes

From Mactan-Cebu International Airport, make your way to either Danao (~1 hour) or Mactan (~15 minutes) port. From there, you can take a ferry to Consuelo pier on Camotes. Ferry tickets can be booked online in advance. You can arrange a pick-up from Consuelo with your accommodation, or take one of the tricycles or jeepneys that will be waiting.

Getting around the island

Driving a scooter is a convenient option, but it's easy to hire a tricycle with a driver if you prefer not to drive.
